Whilst recently performing a XenApp 5.0 installation on a brand new build of Server 2008 SP2 64-bit. Every time i tried to install the Access Management Console i received the following error:
Citrix Installation
The configuration manager cannot be initialized.
I did not understand why i was getting this error as i had installed all the pre requisites and checked them over twice. I even went to the lengths of removing and adding them all again but no luck. I put a post on the Citrix installation support form as well but didn’t get any replies.
I then spotted another forum post (http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=87971&tstart=15) in which somebody mentioned that it was UAC that was blocking the installation, but i had already configured UAC to go into auto-approval mode and it wasn’t prompting me. But i thought i would try it anyway and it worked!! So if you get the error then all you need to do is:
- Open up a command prompt as an Administrator
- Copy the files to a network share and map a network drive to that share
- Run the installation from an elevated command prompt and the installation will run.
Till next time!
Work if you start the ‘Virtual Disk’ service and copy the files to the server again
Cool blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog shine.
Please let me know where you got your theme. Thanks a lot
This post does a fantastic job discussing architecture from fresh perspectives! I recently shared my own thoughts on 3D architectural modeling and its impact on project accuracy and client satisfaction. It’s exciting to see how this technology is reshaping the industry!
